The recently reopened Ballroom at The Prince George, part of the Madison Square North Historic District and the National Register of Historic Places, has been lovingly restored to its original architectural splendor, providing a uniquely beautiful setting for your special event.

Designed at the beginning of the 19th century by architect Howard Greenley, the Prince George Ballroom is rich with intricate neo-Renaissance details, including plasterwork garlands, cherubs, and acanthus leaves. The room’s herringbone oak floor, enormous marble mantelpiece, and heavily ornamented ceiling add to its dramatic effect. Once one of New York City’s largest and grandest gathering spaces, the Ballroom affords guests the unparalleled experience of stepping back into Manhattan’s glamorous past.

The entrance to the Ballroom, located at 15 East 27th Street between Fifth and Madison Avenues, brings guests into the World Monuments Fund Gallery at the Prince George. The Gallery, which can be used for cocktail receptions, is a modern and airy entry into the space. The Gallery’s minimalist design highlights the building’s architectural past, while creating a bridge between the modern city and the elaborate turn-of-the-century Ballroom. The Gallery houses the World Monuments Fund’s exhibits for six months out of the year, and is available for exhibitions during the remainder of the year.
