Red Jacket OrchardsRed Jacket Orchards
Located in Geneva, N.Y. along the rolling hills of Seneca Lake, Red Jacket was originally planted in 1917. Today, the orchard and juice company is managed by the second and third generation of the Nicholson family. Red Jacket raises strawberries, raspberries, sweet and tart cherries, apricots, and peaches in addition to their crisp apples and freshly-pressed 100% fruit juices and ciders. NOTE: The primary supplier of the fruit share is Red Jacket Orchards. Zaid will be filling in the fruit share from additional farmers upstate to provide a greater variety of New York State fruits. The fruit is not organic because it is nearly impossible to grow a quantity of organic fruit in this area. See “What’s In a Share?” for examples of the fruit share. fruitshare2
